About GemLoco

GemLoco is a community-powered discovery website for the local places that deserve a little more recognition. Residents nominate their favorite overlooked businesses, share their recommendations, and invite friends to pass the spotlight.

Our mission is to turn local knowledge into a shareable map of hidden gems. We’re starting with a web-first approach: no native app needed, just a reason to explore and a favorite worth sharing. Paid business visibility and sponsored challenges stay separate from community recommendations.
